Questions from the Quarterdeck…..

Hey Fleet Tug crew members !!!!!!!!   We need your help. Here are some questions we at the American Fleet Tug Museum have that only YOU can answer.  If, after reading these, you think you know the answer OR might know where we can find the answers, PLEASE feel free to contact us at Fleettugmuseum@SBCGLOBAL.NET.  Don’t be shy, it’s YOUR museum too !!!!!!

1). What year were the main engines & auxiliary generators replaced and where was it done?

2). How was it done, thru the hull or from the overhead?

3). When was the main towing winch painted with images of tow missions? (See photo  “WINCH ART”.

4). Was BOLSTER ever involved in a vessel-to-vessel collision?

5). We need more details about the CO who shot flying fish from the signal deck.

6). Was the BOLSTER ever in the threat of sinking?

7). Any famous persons (Other than yourself…) aboard BOLSTER?

8). Did BOLSTER ever have to ‘save’ herself?

9). Were there any tows that sunk during transit? 

10).Was BOLSTER ever stalked by an enemy submarine?

11). Did BOLSTER ever perform salvages while under direct fire?
